Rating's are always subjective to the skill level, and bike size of the one doing the rating. Always ride within your ability level, your bikes ability, and take heed that a moderate rating here might be moderate on a medium size Dual Sport but a real challenge on a Adventure bike like a KTM 1190 or BMW GS1200.

RMAR recommends always riding with others. Utah is very remote and depending on the time of the year some of these trails might not see another soul all day long. RMAR also recommends you carry a SPOT or PLB type of device when adventuring into remote areas.

5 Miles of Hell -
EXTREME, this trail was made for trials bikes although Enduro bikes do ride it. This is actually South of Green River, UT. However if you are looking for the hardest trail in America then check this out. Do this Counterclockwise, You can see how we went the wrong way in a wash to the west and turned around you don't need to go that way just head north. Oh and a heads up it's not 5 miles it's 9 miles for the "5MoH"trail.....lol Want a good camping spot then go to where my tracks end/start to the south. Expect to take ALL day, but you could drive there from Moab and back to Moab. ONLY DO THIS TRAIL IF YOU ARE INTO EXTREME ENDURO's. |

Chicken Corners -
East to West route that dead ends. Easy Route with great views appropriate for all bike sizes. |

Crystal Geyser -
You can make a nice loop with this from just north of Moab off 191 to the West and then see the geyser and head North out to Green River at I-70. Big bike like GS1200 and KTM 1190 friendly. |

Dome Plateau -
East to West. You will typically start at Dewey Bridge and do a loop. Check out the many arches and the overlook of the Colorado River. |

FinsNThings -
Start out doing the lower portions of FinsNThings which is on your right as you ride Sand Flats Rd. There will be camping spots right there but the entry is marked with a sign but it can be hard to find the first time going. The southern portion of FinsNThings is Easy to Moderate with a few challenges before it comes out onto Sand Flats Rd again. Some steep drops, and a sandy hill climb will see where your skill level is for the northern potion of this trail. The Northern portion of FinsNThings is Moderate to slightly Difficult. It's a well marked trail and the northern potion will have many outs however they can be EASY to HARD so be careful and I would suggest if it's your first time follow the trail. |

Flat Iron Mesa -
Seldom used trail so route finding might be a challenge. |
|
Golden Spike -
This trail will take you to the Golden Crack. This trail is HARD, and plan for a long day when factoring in the other trails like Poison Spider to make a nice loop out. |

Hell's Revenge -
You will start at the northeastern entry point after you pay your fee to get into the area. You could skip the fee but then it's an EXTREME rating and not just a HARD rating. This trail has steep areas that will make you pucker both down and up. You will cross other trails so at times navigating can get confusing. The out is very steep downhill with boulders and ledges. |

Kane Creek Canyon -
North to South which makes a nice loop. This is a difficult route with a few boulder fields and steep climbs. There is an ATV route / bypass to your left before the steep hill. ATV route can be a challenge but is easier then the hill climb. |

Moab to Green River (2014 RMAR QSR Route) -
This will take you up close to the La Sal's then back down to Dewey Bridge by way of Onion Creek. Then it's through the desert to I-70 where you will go north of I-70 and then slowly West to green river. This route is mostly dirt and can be done on large Adventure bikes. Porcupine Rim & 4x4 -
This starts from the Sand Flats road. This will provide a great challenge to most riders that will reward you with some awesome views. |

Rose Garden Hill -
coming in from Onion Creek this is an EXTREME way to come out at Dewey Bridge. Coming in from the north this is a HARD way out by way of Onion Creek. Onion Creek is EASY and fun with all the stream crossings. You will know when you are at Rose Garden Hill, take a look laugh and turn around not sure anyone has gone up on a motorcycle. A nice loop to do is to start at Dewey Bridge go to 'Top of the World' , then continue onto 'Rose Garden Hill', and come out 'Onion Creek' to 128. |

Slickrock -
This is a single track open to Motorcycles and Mountain Bikers. You will start off in a large parking area and the trail is clearly marked. There is some exposure, steep hill climbs and steep descents. You can see Youtube videos of KTM990's out here, KLR650's and everything under the sun. The great thing about it, is you can start the trail and just see how you do to the first hill which is in view of the parking lot. There is also a practice loop which I found harder as it seems a little of everything is tossed at you all at once. Also you will cross other trails like Hell's Revenge. Due to it being a single track I'll give this one a HARD as not everyone is used to slickrock and how much grip you can get out of ones tires. |

Steel Bender -
This loop is a great challenge for dirt bikers. South to North you get to go up huge ledges. North to South you get to go down the ledges which is easier but still a great challenge. This trail makes for a great loop out of Moab. |

Top of the World -
North to South with options. You start at the historic Dewey Bridge and head south. It becomes rocky with ledges and a new rider could have issues. I have seen all sizes of motorcycles up here so it's possible to take a large bike it just depends on the riders skill level. The views are well worth the ride. From Top of The World you can continue southeast on the Kokopelli trail to Moab. However you will have to go down 'rose garden hill' which I would not advise you to do on a large bike. I would rank that as "EXTREME". |
