Anyone can donate and we receive donations from all sort of folks, companies, etc.
But we decided to offer some rides that would be in appreciation for our donors. For example the Rendezvous you are a Bronze level donor automatically by attending that ride for that level you receive some goods (apart from door prizes that are not a guarantee to win).
The levels are:
Bronze: $60
Silver: $250
Gold: $500
Platinum: $1,500
Diamond: $2,500
We are conducting two Point to Point appreciation rides that Silver Donors can participate in, if they want.
1. San Juan 500
2. Quien Sabe 600
Normally, riders from the previous year get first bids at the ride slots. For instance, we have 90% of our riders returning for the second year of the CAM1k. But for both the SJ500 and the QS600, they are new for 2013, so it is a free for all, first to donate and commit to the ride.....first on the list of 24 slots available for 2013.
What your Donations go to:
As you know we our a non-profit, no BOD with RMAR takes any pay for what they do. In fact we probably donate out of our own pockets hundreds of dollars every year in money not to mention time. As any group we need basic supplies yearly, but this is a very small percentage of donations go to these needs. Our main focus is raising money for various groups such as TPA, COHVCO, NMOHVA Ride with Respect and many more this is where the bulk of the donations are going.
